About Research

A key goal of ASA’s strategy is to provide and support research. Evidence-based practice and research is crucial to the advancement of the profession and improved patient care.

The ASA funds, and publishes sonography research with peer review articles in its journal Sonography . We also provide access to the latest sonography research from around the world.

The ASA is also committed to supporting sonographers who are striving to make improvements and develop new applications for the sonography profession by offering grant funding every year for sonography research. 

The association also financially supports research into the state of the profession which provides valuable insights and assists us with our ongoing discussions with governments.
