About Fellowship
The ASA Fellowship program was established in 2016 to recognise members who have made a significant contribution and shown outstanding commitment to the advancement of the sonography profession and the ASA. Fellowship is the highest grade of membership for professional associations, recognising those inducted as experts in their field . The titles of 'Fellow' and 'Associate Fellow' are bestowed upon ASA Accredited Medical Sonographer Members who apply and meet the entry requirements. New Fellows are inducted at the ASA’s Annual International Conference each year.
FASA
Becoming a Fellow of the ASA is recognition of a member's significant contribution to the sonography profession and the ASA. Fellowship is recognised as a hallmark of a specialist of the highest professional standing, and this status signifies someone who has contributed above and beyond and is operating at the peak of the sonography profession.
To be awarded an ASA Fellowship, you must first have been awarded an Associate Fellowship of the ASA. Fellows of the ASA are entitled to use the post-nominal lettering 'FASA'.
