Ruth gained her adult Echocardiography training and held the position of Chief Cardiac Scientist at the Wesley Private Hospital (1995 – 2007) under the supervision of Professor Greg Scalia. In 2008 she worked at the Mater Children’s Hospital, Brisbane to further her paediatric knowledge and Echocardiography skills.
Ruth has always enjoyed teaching. Over the past 13 years Ruth has moved around Queensland educating junior Echocardiographers, teaching one-on-one Echocardiography skills (both adult and paediatric echocardiography), contributing to the QUT graduate program and creating online echo educational workshops for Echocardiographers at all levels of their training – Beginning, Cardiac Pathology & Congenital Heart Disease.
